The 2026 Nebraska Nurses Day at the Legislature will be a live, in-person event at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center in Lincoln, Nebraska located at 332 Centennial Mall South, Lincoln, NE 68508.
Nurses and student nurses from across Nebraska are invited to join us for a powerful day of learning, engagement, and advocacy at the State Capitol.
Nurses Day at the Legislature offers participants the opportunity to explore how health policy is developed, discover ways nurses can influence change, and observe the legislative process in action. The day includes presentations from policy experts, panels featuring nursing and legislative leaders in the morning, and the chance to witness committee hearings and meet with advocacy leaders during the afternoon at the Capitol.

Registration Fees
Registration Process
Pre-registration is required for participation in the event.
We offer two ways to register – 1) as an individual and 2) as a group or school.
The deadline to register is February 6, 2026. No registrations accepted after February 6, 2026.
Individual Registration
Individuals seeking to participate and register on their own, not with a school or group, may register online.

Interested in being an individual sponsor of the 2026 NE Nurses Day at the Legislature?
For an additional $25, you can support the event and be recognized as an individual sponsor. If interested, add this recognition to your registration before submitting!
Group & School Registration
Schools of nursing and specialty groups seeking to register as a group have two registration options. Groups of 20 people or less may register online. Groups of 20 or more must register using the Group Registration Form and corresponding Group Payment Form below. Online registration is not an option. See instructions below:
Smaller Groups of 20 or less
Smaller groups may register online by clicking the Register Now button, or complete and submit the Group Registration List and corresponding Group Payment Form (forms below) to our office for processing. Register groups of 20 or less online by clicking the Register>> button in the upper right
Larger Groups of 20 or more
Please complete the Group/School Registration List and corresponding Group/School Payment Form below. Both forms are required.
The Group/School Payment Form will ask you to identify the total number of students versus faculty participating along with payment information.
The Group/School Registration List will ask you to identify each individual in your group by first and last name, address, email address, type of registrant (RN, Nursing Faculty, Student), Legislative District, and whether their contact information may be shared with event exhibitors/sponsors.
Please submit both forms to our office for processing. We will communicate details about registration and the event to the individual identified as the faculty/group liaison on the forms.
REMINDER: It is important that payment be in the form of ONE check (no individual student payments please), money order, or ONE credit card covering all attendees from the group/school.
Refund/Cancellation Policy – Registration fees, less a $25.00 enrollment processing fee, will be refunded to registrants who cannot attend and notify the Nebraska Nurses Association/VTL Solutions office in writing of the cancellation before February 1, 2026. No refunds will be made after February 1, 2026.

NE Nurses Day at the Legislature will provide an opportunity to network with nurses and nursing students and faculty.
Who will be in Attendance?
We anticipate around 250 registrants in this year’s event*. Approximately 60% will be student nurses, representing Schools of Nursing and Hospitals across Nebraska, and 40% experienced, registered nurses from a variety of settings. We hope you will choose to support our event! *Attendance numbers are estimates, not guarantees, are based on attendance trends from past events and are subject to change.
Registration and exhibits open at 7:00 am and the program begins at 8:00 am. Exhibits will close at 11:30 am. Participants will not be returning to the venue after 11:30 am, except to return to their car and head home.
The deadline to register is January 25, 2026. Exhibit space is extremely limited. Please register as soon as possible so we may reserve a table for you.
Refund/Cancellation Policy – Registration fees, less a $100.00 enrollment processing fee, will be refunded to exhibitors who cannot attend and notify the Nebraska Nurses Association/VTL Solutions office in writing of the cancellation before February 1, 2026. No refunds will be made after February 1, 2026.
Disclosures
Criteria for Successful Completion – Participants must register, participate in all educational sessions, actively participate in the Capitol activities, and complete the online evaluation to receive a certificate of completion.
Accreditation
4.75 contact hours will be available to those participants who meet the successful completion requirements.
VTL Center for Professional Development is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
